I'm not sure about the dogs but I thought there was a lot of dogs in Barcelona until I got to Argentina. The rougher the neighbourhood, the bigger the dogs. From the pesky scary stray dogs that follow you around wanting food to the endless dog crap on the pavements, they sure weren't my best friend.
