ehr007 Pico
limited edition 7" of 200 copies

Pico was formed two years ago consisting of Boo and Lianne. They were based in Bradford until last year when they moved to Brighton. Lianne was featured as part of John Peel's 'Sounds Of The Suburbs' programme for Channel Four in March 2000. A song by Lianne was also part of the accompanying Shifty Disco Compilation. The band were invited to do a Peel Session which was broadcasted in May 2000. Those five tracks blew me away and a few contacts later resulted in this, their debut single.

Pico manage to convey a brilliantly futuristic feel, but with a traditional sound in there as well, I hate comparisons but bits of Lamb and Beth Orton spring to mind. A version of Chard was featured as part of the Peel session. Beautifully haunting. Sea is a new song which is a more simple yet elegant track.

They are currently unsigned and can be contacted by email at slinkymalinki@hotmail.com.

All releases will be available at selected record stores and by mail order. Please e-mail emmashouse[at]onoffonoff[dot]org for details.
