ehr001 the workhouse limited edition of 200 copies
The Workhouse, who are based in Oxford and London had their debut single Fred/Mr Sheen released on Livid Meerkat (a division on infamous Fierce Panda label) in late 1999. They have a 3 track e.p. ‘Stoichkov’ coming out in mid-September on Birmingham label Bearos. This will be the bands third release which features the truly wonderful ‘Peacon’ b/w ‘Terry Feels Sick’ on a limited edition numbered 7" pressing of only 200 copies with hand made sleeves. The foursome consist of Mark Baker and Andy Dakeyne on guitars, Peter Lazell on drums and Ed Morgan on Bass. The band over the years has attracted many excellent reviews in the press including the NME who described their songs as 'music out of time, but often magically so'. You can contact the band at theworkhouse@hotmail.com. Or visit Vitaminic for mp3's of their older stuff.
Discography All releases will be available at selected record stores and by mail order. Please e-mail emmashouse[at]onoffonoff[dot]org for details. |
