Where darkness looms
Low light is where you can get take advantage of the automatic exposure. The second red light will come on in the viewfinder if a long exposure You need a steady hand for those low light shots. The unpredicatable results can be stunning. Ghosting effects of faces, unnatural colours from fluorescent lighting, speed effects are all part of the lomographic qualities.

Some people actually trick the camera into thinking it is in the dark by deliberately covering the light sensor above the exposure setting. You can in effect create speed effects during the day or exaggerated motion.

Bright Lights
Very long exposures also can create intense lighting effects in dark conditions like the following. The lens absorbs the light sometimes displacing the background.
